Residency Match Support

The match is not just about your scores. It’s about how your application is built — and how you perform in the interview.

From rotations and observerships through ERAS, interviews, and Match Day — Educon helps Indian IMG applicants position themselves carefully, specialty by specialty, programme by programme.

Six stages

End-to-end support, from rotations to Match Day.

Stage 1

Rotations and Observerships

Clinical exposure planning, site selection, and scheduling support for US-based rotations. A rotation at the right hospital generates a strong US clinical letter, demonstrates US performance, and opens relationships with programmes that are otherwise difficult to reach. Educon’s hospital network has been built over 21 years.

Stage 2

Profile Review

An honest gap analysis before applications open. Your score, graduation year, clinical experience, and specialty target are assessed together. There is no sugarcoating here. Students need to understand exactly what their profile can achieve before they invest in an application cycle.

Stage 3

ERAS Strategy

Programme selection by specialty, geography, and profile strength. The number and composition of programmes you apply to matters as much as the application itself. Casting too wide or too narrow both have costs that are hard to recover from mid-cycle.

Stage 4

Application Documents

CV, personal statement, and letter of recommendation guidance. The personal statement is reviewed for specificity and narrative, not just grammar. The goal is a document that clearly answers why this specialty, why now, and why this candidate will succeed.

Stage 5

Interview Preparation

Mock interviews built on direct knowledge of how US residency programmes interview IMG candidates. Sessions are intensive by design. Feedback is specific. By the time a student sits a real interview, they have already been through the hardest version of it.

Stage 6

Match Day Readiness

Rank list strategy and, if needed, SOAP guidance. The rank list is a strategic decision, not an emotional one. Students are guided through it with the same rigour as the application itself.
